There's a new Dorothy in town, and she's navigating high school, not Oz. Northern Beaches Youth Theatre brings the world its very first production of Gale, an original play that reimagines a beloved classic for a generation that knows exactly how it feels to be the new kid.
Written by Emily Golden, Gale follows a girl uprooted from everything familiar, dropped into a strange new school, and left to face the queen bee and her flying cheerleaders without so much as a dog by her side. It's sharp, it's funny, and it carries real heart beneath every laugh.
Set in a modern high school with a magical twist, this fast-paced ensemble show blends pop-culture wit with timeless themes of friendship, belonging and finding your people. It's a perfect outing for teens, families, and anyone who loves local theatre done brilliantly.
