A 5km circuit from Dee Why Surf Club around the lagoon and up to 360 degree views on Long Reef Headland.
Lagoon, beach and headland in one loop. This circuit starts in front of Dee Why Surf Club at James Meehan Reserve, follows the track around Dee Why Lagoon, then heads along Long Reef Beach and up a boardwalk to the headland.
At the top, the views run a full 360 degrees. Keep an eye out for whales and dolphins.
Council puts it at about 5km and 60 minutes, graded Moderate. Expect a medium slope up the headland and plenty of sand. Go in dry weather; after heavy rain the lagoon entrance can be open and hard to cross. A great morning loop with a coffee back at Dee Why.
