A Dee Why town centre park with playgrounds, a seasonal splash park, water gardens and BBQs, a short walk from the beach.
Walter Gors Park was revamped in 2017 into a green pocket in the middle of Dee Why. There are playgrounds, water gardens, outdoor cooking facilities and plenty of spots to sit and relax.
The big drawcard on warm days is the splash park. It runs from 10am to 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday, and gives kids a way to cool off without the sand.
It suits a quick play between town centre errands or a casual BBQ lunch. Plan around the splash park's schedule: Mondays are for maintenance and it closes over winter.
