Northern Beaches Council invites older residents to celebrate, connect and try something new at the 2026 Northern Beaches Seniors Festival, running from Monday 2 March to Sunday 29 March 2026.
This year’s theme, Live life in colour, encourages embracing creativity, making new friends, and enjoying an active lifestyle while recognising the valuable contributions seniors make to the community.
Aligned with the NSW Seniors Festival (2–15 March), the local Festival features a variety of free and low-cost activities including health and fitness classes, workshops and information sessions, both online and in-person. The program is designed to support health, wellbeing and lifelong learning.
Northern Beaches Mayor Sue Heins said the Festival gives a welcoming opportunity for older residents to get involved and feel connected.
“The Seniors Festival is a wonderful celebration of our older residents and the rich contribution they make to life on the Northern Beaches.
“With such a wide range of activities on offer, there is something for all our seniors to try – whether it’s staying active, learning something new or simply meeting people and enjoying being part of the community.”
A highlight of the Festival is the Seniors Connect Expo on Friday 6 March, 10.30am–2.30pm at Dee Why RSL Club. The Expo will bring together over 40 local groups and organisations, offering entertainment and presentations. There will be opportunity to speak with representatives from government and peak organisations including Service NSW, Services Australia, ID Support NSW and Carers NSW. The expo will conclude with a performance by the Big Sing Avalon community choir.
