As spring rolls in, Royal Motor Yacht Club Broken Bay is turning up the flavour and dialling up the good times. With new talent in the kitchen, revamped waterfront dining, and a packed events calendar, this season is all about easygoing days by the water. From fresh pizzas and antipasto to live tunes and local brews, RMYC is inviting members and visitors to eat, drink, and soak up the sunshine in serious style.
The RMYC’s buzzing Compass Terrace has undergone a refresh, and it’s looking better than ever. With a lively new layout and a mix of dining options, this is your go-to spot for everything; from your morning coffee to a weekend feast.
New Talent, Bold Taste

At the helm is new Head Chef Emilio Erazo, whose impressive resumé includes Bathers Pavilion, Jonah’s Restaurant & Boutique Hotel and Mercado, in Sydney’s Angel Place precinct.
Working alongside the Club’s House Manager, Jesse McTavish, Emilio is steering the club’s Italian flavours for spring and summer while refreshing menus across events and catering. With a calm hand, creative vision, and a love for coastal cooking, he is set to make his mark.
Pizza and Pasta Perfection

First up is the brand-new “Italiano” pop-up. This is not your standard street van. Everything is made fresh in-house, with the freedom to customise your plate. Choose your pasta style and sauce, add a generous antipasto platter, or dive into the charcoal BBQ menu featuring lamb racks, half chickens and juicy sirloin steaks.
And of course, there is the club’s much-loved Pizzeria. Run by Johnny, a chef who takes his craft seriously, it is all about premium ingredients, crisp bases and bold toppings.
The line-up is pure temptation. Think Chilli Prawn with garlic and fennel salt, the OMG Prosciutto Burrata with pomegranate molasses, and Mr Johnny Funghi Hash Brown, a truffle-laced creation that’s as indulgent as it sounds.
Weekly specials keep things interesting, and the 2-for-1 Sundays are an institution running until the October long weekend. Add in some of the RMYC’s classic favourites and you have a mouth-watering mix of Italian street food with a coastal twist.
Seafood Lovers, Take Note
From the October long weekend, the Italian menu takes a seafood-forward turn. Expect split Yamba king prawns on the hibachi, BBQ Clarence River octopus, Merimbula Sydney rock oysters, sashimi selections, crispy school prawns and local Hawkesbury squid. And for the sweetest ending, enjoy a scoop or two from the brand-new Gelato Cart, which is set to become a post-meal ritual.
See you on the Compass Terrace this spring. Book your table, and make it a date.
