Open Air Cinema Returns to Cromer

Northern Beaches locals are invited to settle in for two relaxed, family-friendly movie nights as Council’s Open Air Cinema returns to Cromer in 2026.

Held under the stars at St Matthews Farm Reserve, Cromer, the free events take place on Friday 27 March and Saturday 28 March. Gates open at 5.30pm, with films starting at 6.30pm.

Pack a picnic rug, gather your crew and make an evening of it. Bring your own picnic, grab takeaway from your favourite local restaurant or enjoy the onsite food trucks before the big screen lights up.

Friday night features the much-loved fantasy adventure How to Train Your Dragon (2025), followed by the high-energy animated comedy The Bad Guys 2 (2025) on Saturday.

Northern Beaches Mayor Sue Heins says the Open Air Cinema is always a highlight on the local calendar, bringing the community together for two memorable evenings of entertainment.

To top it off, the first 1,000 ticket holders through the gates each night will receive a free bag of popcorn. There’s nothing quite like a night under the stars with great company and a feel-good film.
