The Beach Club Collaroy: Built for the Community

If you love ocean views, great food and laid-back vibes, The Beach Club in Collaroy is your happy place! With tasty eats, cold drinks and live entertainment, everyone feels right at home.

With restaurant-quality meals served seven days a week, daily specials for members and an unbeatable beachfront location, The Beach Club Collaroy is the perfect spot for hanging out with friends and family. “We certainly know how lucky we are,” says Operations Manager, Warwick Hamlin. “The Beach Club is one of those rare places where the ocean literally breaks on top of the building. People would love to be in a spot like this every day.”

And it’s not just the views that make this club so special. The focus here is well and truly about the people – members, locals and staff. The team at The Beach Club plays a huge role in creating an atmosphere that’s welcoming and laid-back. “Our staff are young, and they love what they do. Hospitality is a social business, and they genuinely enjoy being here and being around friends.”

The venue’s main focus is on great food, drinks and entertainment. With a diverse menu that caters to all tastes and thirty different drinks on tap, there’s something for everyone. “We care about looking after the locals in a relaxed setting. Once you come here, you want to stay, and when you see the view, you think, why am I going anywhere else?”

Membership is accessible to everyone, with a simple sign-up process and affordable fees. “Visitors are always welcome; just bring a photo ID, but for just $10, you can become a member and get the benefits,” says Warwick. “And your first couple of drinks practically cover the cost.”

With free live music on Friday and Saturday nights, and Sunday afternoons, a sports bar showing all major NRL, UFC and sporting events plus a pool table, there really is something for everyone. Join the weekly Wednesday night pool competition or test yourself and win some prizes at trivia on Thursday nights. “Our team focus on the small and important things – the locals. That’s what really matters to us,” says Warwick.

The Beach Club donates funds to local charities and groups such as the Collaroy SLSC, Gotcha4Life and Bush To Beach.

ANZAC Day 2025

One of the most significant days on The Beach Club’s calendar is ANZAC Day on April 25, when the Club honours veterans and servicemen with a moving and unique service at dusk. “There are plenty of ANZAC Day services at dawn and ours is at dusk, right on the beachfront. A couple of thousand people attend each year which speaks volumes about the community spirit in Collaroy,” says Warwick.

Activities kick off at midday with a game of 2-Up on the beachfront and a remembrance service at sunset, including a wreath-laying ceremony with the Collaroy Boaties paying tribute to those who served. “It’s one of the best days of the year, seeing everyone come to reflect and show their gratitude. The trick is to arrive early, and there’s a bus stop right outside so public transport is easy.”
