Warriewood SLSC facelift complete

Northern Beaches Council has completed a range of improvements at Warriewood Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC), marking another milestone for the local community and surf lifesaving on the Northern Beaches.

These works enhance usability and provide for further improvements in the future. A new roof structure now enables use of external areas in all weather, while upgrades to electrical systems, flooring, skylights and other improvements have modernised the club for today’s needs.

The extensive upgrades, delivered in partnership with the NSW Government and the dedicated members of Warriewood SLSC, have revitalised the much-loved coastal hub.

Mayor Sue Heins welcomed the completion of works:

“Our surf clubs are the heart of our coastal communities.

“The upgrades at Warriewood will provide our dedicated volunteers with the facilities they need to continue their invaluable service, while creating a welcoming space for all members of the community.

“Not only will this project enhance safety and amenity for our lifesavers, but it works towards the club being an inclusive, accessible, and vibrant place for everyone,” said Mayor Heins.

Works were carefully planned to allow the surf club to operate lifesaving services during construction and limit disruption to the public around the building.

Northern Beaches Council extends its gratitude to everyone involved in the project and looks forward to seeing the benefits of the renewed Warriewood SLSC for many years to come.
